For the second time this year there was the festival Krapoldi in the Park - an event for everyone. From 31 August to 5 September there was a lot to marvel at. Punch and Judy, acrobatics, clowning - a colourful festival for families.
A circus tent at the main playground of Rapoldipark was the venue for various events and performances. In the evenings the programme was tailored to adults, during the day to children and families. Additional venues included outdoor performances on the so-called Krawuzi Island, by the Rapoldi Park pond. So it happened that strollers, children with parents and senior citizens made up a motley audience. And this fits perfectly to the motto of the Krapoldi Festival "for EVERYONE". One wants to offer something for everyone and be open.
In addition to acrobatics and clowning, there was also Punch and Judy for the children.
The festival offers a whole week long program. I was there for you on Thursday at the street art parade through the Pradl district. On Friday I visited the open, freely accessible show program. This offers entertainment from 14:00 to 21:00 from Punch and Judy to clowning. The great acrobatics, such as the slackline show by the German and Austrian champion Marius Kitowski, are particularly memorable. Or the one-man circus Gonzo by Finn Jagd Anderesen from Switzerland.
MY VISIT TO KRAPOLDI
An artist on stilts accompanied the parade through Innsbruck's Pradl district on Thursday afternoon. At Pradler Platz in front of the church there were two acrobatics before the parade continued through the district. Accompanied by the lively sound of the Street Noise Orchestra from Innsbruck, there was a great atmosphere among the many children and their companions. And all this in beautiful weather!
On Friday at the street art festival in the park, various artists thrilled especially the many children. With free admission and perfect weather, but not only the little ones were amazed at the presented tricks. A few impressions I have brought you from the great atmosphere and the performances.
Also in the second year the festival thrilled especially the many children in the central Innsbruck Rapoldipark. In fantastic weather, in front of the beautiful backdrop of the Nordkette a successful event.
